LIAA Innovation Vouchers (Latvia)

Grants up to €25K at 85–100% intensity for developing new products with research institutions — feasibility, prototyping, certification, industrial design, and IP registration.

About this grant

LIAA's ERDF-funded innovation voucher program co-finances new product and technology development carried out in cooperation with accredited research institutions, within Latvia's RIS3 smart-specialisation fields. Four voucher types: an introductory voucher up to €10,000 at 100% intensity for first-time cooperation with a research organisation; the classic voucher up to €25,000 at 85%; a design voucher up to €5,000 at 85%; and support for attracting highly-qualified employees up to €25,000 at 45%. Eligible work includes feasibility studies, industrial research, experimental development, prototyping, certification and testing, industrial design, and IP registration. A related-company group can receive up to €25,000 in total per product. Evaluation is two-stage, ending with an in-person pitch to the committee. Projects run up to 12 months and must complete by 30 April 2027.
