About this grant
The EUIPO SME Fund, administered in Latvia by the Patent Office (Patentu valde), reimburses small and medium-sized companies for intellectual property protection costs. Vouchers cover IP Scan pre-diagnostic services at 90% reimbursement (up to €1,170 per service), plus co-funding for trademark and design registration fees at EU and national level. For a company preparing an ALTUM innovation application or an innovation voucher project, securing IP first is both cheap and strategically sound — and the EUIPO vouchers make the first step nearly free. The fund runs as an annual EU-wide initiative; applications go through the EUIPO portal with national support available.
